Dear Teacher Name,

Hope you are doing well. I wanted to reach out to you about a club that I wanted to bring to School Name. The club is called crossing the divide. Crossing The Divide is a non-profit organization that aims to decrease political polarization by inviting those from all over the political spectrum to discuss a given topic every 2 weeks. Each meeting covers a different topic and allows students to have an open dialogue discussion. Since it started in Durham Academy last year, Crossing The Divide has begun to move to high schools around America; they are currently at 25+ schools with 10 out-of-state. I think it would be a great addition to our school and help America fight polarization starting with our students. I wanted to reach out for your help in initiating this club at School Name and was wondering what I would need to do to set this up, and what the timeline for that would be. I appreciate your help and insight in advance.

I also created this document for your convenience which outlines some of the basics of this organization and goes over some of the most common objections that people tend to raise; hopefully, it will allay any concerns you might have with starting something like this at School Name.

Thanks,

Your Name
